So let’s take a trip in the way back machine, to last Sunday, where I made a prediction about this weeks event:
OH SHIT YOUR BOY IS A GENIUS
I’m feeling pretty psychic right now. Wait for next months Golf Digest to come out, I’m sure that “AT&T congratulates Jordan Spieth on his victory at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am” will be on a full page ad. Until then, I’m using my prediction skills to buy lottery tickets.
Jordan played a conservative round today, but still hit 16/18 greens in regulation. Spieth had trouble with speed on the greens, and made just two birdies. Spieth’s second birdie was a 29 foot dagger on the 17th to put him up four strokes, and essentially seal the deal. Coming in second at -15 was Kelly Kraft, who shot a 5-under 67 on Sunday. Dustin Johnson came in third at -14, while two time champ Brandt Snedeker came in 4th. World #1 Jason Day was tied for 5th at -12 with Gary Woodland and Jon Rahm, who continues his hot start to 2017. Next week, the Tour heads to Riviera for the Genesis Open. The field includes Jason Day, Sergio Garcia, Dustin Johnson, Hideki Matsuyama, Jordan Spieth, and last years winner Bubba Watson. My Pick: I’m going with Bubba this week, not only because has he won this tournament twice, but because of the name change from Northern Trust Open to the Genesis Open. Aside from being the luxury division of Hyundai motors, Genesis is the name of the first book of the bible. Bubba is a christian, according to the first word of his Twitter bio. I’m just connecting the dots here people.
