Well, that’s all folks. Tiger’s 2017 debut and long awaited return to PGA Tour competition lasted just 36 difficult holes. Big Cat wasn’t able to recover from his opening round 76, despite two birdies, as well as more consistent results off the tee. Also missing the cut was a real who’s who of top PGA Tour talent, including Jason Day, Dustin Johnson, Rickie Fowler, Brooks Koepka and Jimmy Walker. Justin Rose shot a 71 to stay at the top of the leaderboard at -8. Rose made a pair of both birdies and bogeys, before making a birdie at the 18th to finish his day -1. Adam Hadwin also shot a 71 to remain one shot back, tied with last years champ Brandt Snedeker, who shot a 3-under 69. Ollie Schniederjans and Keegan Bradley shot a pair of 69’s each (nice), tied for fourth at -6 headed into the weekend.
