Two rounds are done at the CareerBuilder Challenge, and the field looks to be going low. Leader Hudson Swafford, playing at the Nicklaus Tournament Course, shot a 7 birdie, no bogey 65 to take the lead. Thursday’s leader Dominic Bozzelli shot a 67 atLa Quinta Country Club, and is just one shot back of Swafford. Danny Lee, who is tied for second with Bozzelli, fired a bogey free 64 at La Quinta, sharing the best round of the day with Brendan Steele, who is two back of the lead. Phil Mickelson shot a 6-under 66 to move into a tie for 6th place. Phil’s round included three consecutive birdies, as well as an eagle. Last year’s champ Jason Dufner also went 6-under on the day, moving him to 7-under on the tournament headed into the weekend.
Over on the European Tour, Martin Kaymer leads at -12, with Round One leader Henrik Stenson three back at -9. Rickie Fowler and Dustin Johnson again mimicked each others rounds, this time each firing a 68, for a share of 38th place headed into the weekend.
